Too many people?

I have a little dilema. I am trying to get a time together so that all my bridesmaids can come and help me with my wedding dress search. I also want my mother there and MIL, then I have a stepmom too. Is 6 people too many to bring wedding gown shopping? Should I try to cut it down to just moms? I have the bridesmaids dress picked out, the only thing is deciding on new colors. We pushed back the wedding so it will be a different season. They will all be there then so should I wait to bring them?

Re: Too many people?

  • I think that's too many, only for the fact that it might be tough on you. Too many opinions on your dress, could lead to major frustration for you and that wouldn't be good. :(

  • Yes, too many. I did that and there were so many different opinions. Eventually I went back with just my mom and my dad and my dad is actually the one who picked my dress. It was much easier just having my parents and not everyone else.

  • I think it's too many people. I personally would not take my FMIL. Maybe MOH and your mom.
  • i think that is 5 too many... haha.  too many people = too much confusion and wayyy too many opinions.  just take your moms, or switch up who goes to which store.
  • when i went shopping browsing shopping  i only took my maid of honor. then when i narrowed down my store and three dress styles i then took my four brides maids my mother in law and my mother to go see my final three. the bridal place didnt seem to have a problem. my mom actaully loved that i did this becuase i tried on 30 dress no lie and went to 4 different stores. and traveled high and low. and i thought i had the dress picked out before i tried it on...i was dead wrong. the dress i am in now is completly different than the one i had picked out online....but thats what everyone says its like. i know i would have felt bad if i had dragged all those people out to all those places.
  • I tried on 70 different dresses with my mom, grandma, and aunt, I am a vrey strong personality, so it was great.  I could say no to their opionions and not feel bad.  If you are not a super strong personality I would not reccomend that many people.  Make many appointments and take two people to each then take the moms or maybe your mom and moh to pick from your favorites.
  • Thanks on the input. I know, I have been looking online and I have a list of like 50 dresses I want to try. Too bad they dont come to your house huh? lol. I'll probably just bring mom and MOH
