Where to find the best price?

I am looking for an online authorized Maggie Sottero and Sottero & Midgley deaeer. Did anyone else buy their MS dress from an online source? TIA

Re: Where to find the best price?

  • edit: "dealer" :-)
  • There are no online authorized dealers for MS or S&M.  It's against the designer's policy.

  • have read that on their site, but there are authorized retailers who ship. A girl on another message board recommended Pearl's Place.
  • Pearl's Place is an actual store in New Orlenas. They also take orders over the phone. Jaysbridal.com is another place that does online orders and has an actual store. Rkbridal.com is another place.I think they won't sell to strictly online dealers. They have to have an actual store. All three have both a store front and internet sales.

  • ditto there are no online sellers of maggie dresses.  you can try calling RK and Chrissy O's, both stores in NJ/NY who sell & ship at discount.
  • Since Maggie Sottero has gotten very strict about enforcing thier msrp's you might do just as well buying from a local salon that will include things like storing the gown and steaming.  You may find you save money in the long run.
  • The only way you can get discounts on that designer is to go to a store and try to negotiate in person.  I know for sure that Pearl's Place does not discount Maggie Sottero in any division at all.   They only sell for MSRP and I think that the other leading online stores do the same also.  If you get a discounted price on a Maggie it is probably a copy.
  • I got my Maggie from Pearl's Place. It was the same exact price as in the local shop, I think both stores were selling it at the "floor price" that the designer strictly enforces (in other words, the lowest possible price for that gown). I chose to order it from PP because I got free shipping and didn't have to pay sales tax (since I dont live in Louisiana), which saved me $100. To me it was worth saving the extra bit of money.
