Removing trains...

Has anyone ever removed the train on their dresses?  Mine has a plain bottom, no beadding/trim and a small train.  I have considered removing it because I am not a huge fan of them but otherwise am totally in love with the dress.  Thanks!

  • I'm not, but a good friend of mine did this. The skirt on her dress was also plain and she simply told them to chop it off.

  • Ditto PP just tell your seamstress to cut it off and make the bottom all one length. I really can't imagine why this would be a big deal.

  • I used to work as a fashion assistant to a bridal designer.  Taking the train off is not a big deal whatsoever...
