I just picked up my wedding dress today from David's Bridal. I've heard horror stories about DB but I loved the service I got there and I found my dress, my bridesmaids dresses and my mother's dress all on the same day. Now, I need to figure out where I am going to get the dresses altered. My dress will be more expensive to hem because it's treamed in lace and beading. I've heard DB can be overpriced and that seems to be the general opinion on the boards. If I don't go to David's, where is a good place to go for alterations? And since I am not doing the alterations at DB, will I have to go somewhere else to have it steamed and pressed? How much does that run? I'm quite confused.
