Plus size gowns

Does anyone know where I can go on long island  to try on gowns where they have plus size gowns to try on?  I have been to Davids Bridal and that is the only location I found that has an assortment of gown sizes to try on.  Every other place I have been, all the gowns are size 12 or so and when I put them on I can never tell if they would look good if they only fitted me well.  Please help!

See if anyone in your area carries dresses by Aurora D'Paradiso.  Beautiful dresses in plus sizees.

Suggestion, go to Davids 1st, see what styles you like, that makes it easier when you try to stuff yourself into a size 12.  I knew I wanted something with a dropwaist and a ballgown.  It makes it easier to envision that smaller size on you.

Ask your local board and they can probably suggest some stores. If you feel like traveling into New Jersey, I got mine at Park Avenue Bridals in Verona. I also had a good experience at True Love Bridals in Matawan.

I went to Helen's private wedding collection in Commack...the dresses didn't always fit but the women helping me did an amazing job of pinning me in. Lilette's in Baldwin also does a good job but I found the women helping me less personable and able to relate to larger women. Good luck!
