Running of the Brides- Advice Needed

So any advice from other brides would be greatly appreciated.. I'm going to Manhasset tomorrow to do the Filene's Basement Running of the Brides. It's my goal to find my dream dress there and be done with all the trying of dresses and not finding the perfect dress. Has anyone been to it before ? Any good advice you can give ?

I haven't been but another knottie a few months ago said that she went to one late at night and was the only person there, she had all the dresses to herself.  If it were me I'd prefer that.

i went, it was a huge waste of time.  i hope you had a better experience.  wear underware and a bra you don't care ppl see you in.  bring your own mirror if possible.  bring at least 1-2 friends but an entire posse is not necessary.  bring your own clips if you have.

So I drove 5 1/2 hours to go to the running of the Brides today and I will say that I definetly did not find my dress there. I know alof of people do find thier dream dresses but I was so not one of them. I'm not up for a dress that is completely dirty, has rips in it. And unfortunately they really didn't have many in my size. If you wanted a size 10/12 or a size 22-26 they had so many it was crazy. It was an interesting experience and at least I can say that I did it but I think for me because I already know exactly what style and look I want it was more difficult for me. But it was a fun day
