net bride vs. pearl's place

I am looking to buy my wedding dress from either net bride or pearl's place. Is one recommended more than the other for wedding dresses?  Thanks!

I went with Netbride, or my bridesmaids did I should say...just cause it was easier, you could order online via their website.

I actually just commented about pearls on the post below.  I ordered my dress from the pearls place store in new orleans.  the service was very good and my dress came in months early.  The prices are wonderful.  They have been in business forever and are very reputable (except for alterations).  Sorry I can't really help with the online ordering aspect.  HTH!

I ordered my dress through Pearl's Place.  I don't know if you can order it online...I think you have to do it through phone, but don't quote me on that.  I had a great experience with PP.  Ordering through the phone was super easy and it was actually delivered well before the expected date.

I hear wonderful things about netbride and pearls, but I got my bm dresses through netbride.

I ordered my wedding dress through netbride and it came in a month early. Highly recommend them!

I used Pearl's Place and many friends have also.  I think they are the standard that should be applied to all of the online stores.  The main reason they ask you to call is to make sure you have all of the info and get your order correct.  I think they are just wonderful, great prices and fast delivery.

I got my dress from Pearl's Place last week!!!! It came in almost a month and a half early. It only took 2.5 months and was SO MUCH CHEAPER than anywhere I could find. Shipping was only $12!!! I give Pearl's Place 500 stars.

(I posted this in another post below) Got both my wedding dress AND bm's dresses from PP. Oh and netbride couldnt even TOUCH PP's price on the BM's dresses, they were $40 higher. My wedding dress is a Maggie Sottero and was in my hands 3 months and one week after the day I ordered it, which is QUICK. Price was competitive, NO sales tax and free shipping on it. As for the Bm's dresses, the local stores and NetBride wanted $125-ish and PP wanted $85, so you can imagine who i went with. The dresses were on my doorstep in FIVE WEEKS. I would not hesistate to buy from Pearl's Place again.

I used both companies and liked them equally.  I think I'd have to give Netbride the edge though for a few reasons: 1) I liked that their website was set up to take internet orders, 2) I thought their customer service reps were more friendly, and 3) I like that everything was conducted through email (ordering, responses to questions, etc.) because if something happened, I would have had a paper trail to show proof of everything that was discussed.  With Pearl's Place, I didn't like that I had to order over the phone, and I really had no physical proof or confirmation of anything until the dress actually came in.  PP has a wonderful reputation so I knew I didn't really have anything to worry about, but it kind of bugged me lol.
