Should I get the dress now?

My mom and I went dress shopping and found three dresses that I really like. We have only been to one store, but I wouldn't have a problem not looking anywhere else. My wedding is not until October 2010. Is it too early to get a dress and should I continue to look around???

I'd look a month or two longer, then if you don't find anything you like better, by Oct or Nov, then go ahead and purchase.

You definitely have some time to look for a few months longer but if you REALLY REALLY like one of the other dresses than I wouldn't wait too long to purchase it. When I went dress shopping, I already knew what dress I wanted because I seen it online and had my heart set on it. I went to the salon with the printout of the dress, tried it on, and absolutely LOVED it. I tried on a few others too but still LOVED the other one. So I bought it on the spot. Everyone told me I was crazy and said I should of shopped around some more and then if I didn't find something I could of went back to get the dress I loved. Well a month after I purchased my dress, it was discontinued. So I'm glad I didn't listen to everyone because I wouldn't of been able to go back and buy it later. Sometimes you just know, and you can try on a thousand dresses but you'll keep going back to that one.

I would wait, and look a little more.  You still have some time and you don't want to end up being a 2 dress bride.  Go back in a few months if it's still the one, then order it.

I'm right there with you.  That is the same time as my wedding.  If it is just THE dress then go for it.  I was going to wait till Oct to start looking for mine but the right one just came along and I didn't want to lose it.  Granted I am still going to look at others because it's just fun.

Since you have the time, I think you should look around a bit more (maybe 2-3 more shops) and then purchase a dress more toward the end of the year.
