1st Dress Fitting! PIP

So I had my first fitting yesterday...and as much as I love the dress, I'm beginning to feel really insecure about my arms when I look at the pics (flabby, red and can we say armpit fat?) DB has a satin short sleeved jacket in champagne that I'm thinking about buying (it hits at the top of the dress)...but, do you think it would take away from the dress? i think your dress is beautiful and you look beautiful in the dress and you're just noticing things no one else will notice. tbh i looked at the pictures before i read what you wrote and i thought it looked amazing and didn't even see what you're talking about. stop worrying! you look beautiful!

The lace-up back of your dress is beautiful.  Congrats! And like pp said, we notice so many things about ourselves that no one else notices.  Your FH will not be looking at your arms!  I think that a coverup might take away a little from your dress, but if it will make you feel better and more confident on your wedding day, go for it.

I think your dress looks beautiful on you. You look like a naturally curvy girl and the dress shows that off! I don't think your arms look anything like you're describing! Be proud of your curves! I think you look fabulous!

I looked at your pictures before reading what you wrote and I said WOW out loud when I saw you in your dress! You look seriously amazing! I wouldn't wear the jacket thing....I would never notice anything negative about your body at all. You are beautiful!

I don't think your arms look bad at all but I personally love Bolero jackets, my friend wore one and it has such a pretty stand up collar

Your dress is STUNNING on you, just gorgeous! I wouldn't wear the jacket, but if YOU feel uncomfortable, then wear it. You need to feel beautiful on your wedding day and if the jacket will help, then go for it. I do NOT think you need it though.

you look amazing. i know that what matters is how you feel. i felt the same way with my armpits so i used breast tape and it worked great. i really dont think you should wear a jacket. the dress is gorgeous!!!GL

ok, ok...the running theme is no jacket :-) i may look into that tape though.thanks, everyone. now if only i can convince myself i dont look like a hippo walking down the aisle...;-)

I do think it would take away from the dress. The details are way too gorgeous to cover up and you look beautiful! Don't second guess yourself!

I too have an ivory and champagne gown from DB, with a corset back and I've been going back and forth on wearing a bolero. I did find a lace three quarter sleeve one that doesn't take away from the dress that I'll put on if I decide at the last minute I can't hack my flabby arms showing to the world. I think you look perfect in that gown and there's no need to cover anything up. You don't even have any back fat girl!!

Your arms and your dress and you look beautiful!!  And honestly, I'm not the kind of girl that goes around and says everyone looks beautiful in their dress (let's be real - some look terrible) but you look GREAT!!
