Reception gown??

I'm giving my mom her dream of me wearing a ball gown through the ceremony and father/daughter dance, but we agree that I need to change into something lighter for the rest of the reception. Torn between a short party dress or a long sheath......Any suggestions would help!!!

My bff wore a short white party dress for the last half of the reception and looked adorable! We went out afterwards and that's what she wore out as well. Here are some cute ones that still look "bridal". Nordstrom has great long sheaths as well.
