Changing the neckline?

Has anyone changed the neckline of their dress? I want to change mine to a sweetheart, right now it is straight across. Thoughts and advice? Thanks!

Can you add a piece of lace to make it straight across?

I'm partial to a sweetheart neckline. They're very flattering, IMO. I had my strapless dress w/ a neckline that was straight across changed into a modified sweetheart neckline. My dress is a Casablanca and they let you customize some parts of the dress when you order. So, if you haven't ordered your dress, I would ask if this is possible. If you ordered, any seamstress should be about to do this for you.

The designer of my daughter's dress did not offer the option to order a different neckline but a good seamstress can do this very easy. My daughter's seamstress did it - it cost about $75.00 to make the straight across strapless to a sweetheart - she said she does them quite a bit.neckline.HTH and GL!

Thank you! I was hoping that someone would be able to do it. My dress is already ordered and I have it. I love it but I think it would look a bit more feminine and flattering if it was a sweetheart.

I am having mine altered from straight, into a sweetheart. I have my 2nd fitting on Weds this week, so hopefully I get to see how it turned out!!
