Wedding Thank You Questions

I found really cute holiday type cards that I can add wedding pictures to. My idea was to put "Thank You" on the front and something like "and Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season" on the inside and obviously write a personal thank you too. Is it poor ettiquette to combine my holiday cards/wedding thank you cards? I was thinking it would be primarily a thank you card with a holiday greeting and design. What do you think? Also, should I send out thank you's to friends who we never received a card or gift from? Isn't there some rule where guests have a year to give a gift? Thanks!

In my opinion I think it is poor ettiquette to combine the cards.... I am in the same boat as you - I am finishing my thank yous and I was just thinking the other day that pretty soon I'll be sending out Christmas cards to all the same people LOLI think that since people took the time to buy you a gift and come to your wedding, you should take the time to thank them properly.Imagine if someone sent you a combined Christmas gift and Wedding gift? Same concept....I am not sure about sending a thank you if someone did not give a gift - but I have heard that guests get a year to send a gift.Good luck

Kelstar - thanks for your input. The more I think about it I agree with you. I think I will get my thank you's started asap and next month do the holiday cards.

I have to agree - I would do separate cards. Also, it is proper etiquette to send a thank you to ALL of yours guests - gift or no gift. It is polite to thank them for spending your special day with you. That being said - your thank you may "nudge" your guests who are abiding by the "one year" rule. :)
