Dress Shopping! I found the one pictures in post!

This is the third time I went dress shopping. This time I brought my grandma and my aunt. My mom passed away when I was very little, and we talked about how she would have loved shopping with us. We all got a little teary eyed talking about my mom. But enough of the rambling here are the pictures. I think the sales girl like it better on me than I did. This dress was a Jim Hjelm, not sure how much it cost. I liked this dress, but wasn’t in love with it. It’s an Alvina Valenta, at the upper limit of my budget of 3,500. I liked the neckline a lot, reminded me of my prom dress back in 2005. I do not like the fact that you can see my belly button through the dress, it made me feel chubby and doughy. I even had spanx on! The dress was nice, but not the one! The next dress was the one; I have decided that I am going to stop looking at dresses online. I don’t want to have second thoughts, but I LOVE THIS DRESS. It was totally the one. It had a weird skinny belt in the most awkward place. You might be able to see it in some of the pictures it was right above my belly button. We ordered the dress without the belt. You can kind of see the weird skinny belt around my waist in this picture on the left. Do you think the veil matches the dress? I wasn’t sure about the veil but I kind of like the veil with this dress. What do you think of the sash and the broach on the dress? We added them on the dress at the shop and I feel that it really finishes off the dress. Opinions welcome. Thanks for looking.

• Gorgeous dress! Definitely my favorite out of all the ones you have pictured. It looks great on you! (Veil too!) I like the ribbon/belt under the bust, but did the belt have something else further down? Or did you move that ribbon/belt up a bit?
• They ordered the dress without the skinny ribbon/belt/sash looking thing. The girl at the bridal shop gave me a little piece of the ribbon they were tying around me so I could go find a matching one. She said that the ribbon they were using is classified as "bridal ribbon" and is very expensive per roll. So I would be better off going to michaels/joanns/craft shop and getting it in a roll or by the yard. Thank you for all of your compliments. :)
• They are all beautiful dress!! Congrats!

• The belly button thing really does happen to everyone. LOL! Love the dress! They're all gorgeous, but I think you made the right choice going with the third. And that second ribbon belt thing was really weird.
• I love the dress! That neckline is very flattering on you and I totally agree about the skinny belt. I have an obnoxious question though...sorry...how did you get the pics in the post? I have been sitting here for almost an hour trying to get it to do that. :-o

• Ahh! Thank you!
• I really like your choice! I also like the sash you added, I'd go a little wider even than the one you have on in the pic. It's always a good idea to accentuate your tiniest area and I think just under the bust is the smallest for most girls.Congrats, it's a beautiful dress!
• The last dress is very pretty on you. The veil is nice also. Congrats.
• Thanks for all the great input!
