Hi Ladies, I fell in love with a way-too-expensive-for-my-budget dress a few months ago. I've kept my eye out for it on used wedding dress websites, etc. I just found one-and its local! Only problem is that I'm too tall for it! When I tried it on in the store, they said I would definitely need to add extra length. The seller of this dress actually had the hem shortened a little. I'm 5'9" and have an insanely tall fiancee...so I would like to be able to wear heels and have it long enough. My question is...can it be altered to make it longer? The dress shop said they add extra length all the time..but they also custom make it that way. The dress is all corded lace. I don't know anything about alterations so I'm just sure if this is something that can be done without it looking bad. TIA!!!
