matching his tux to my dress?

My fiance wants to wear a white shirt, tie, and vest with his black tux. The only problem is my dress is ivory. Would this look okay? Or, does anyone have any other ideas? Please help

 It will look fine.  Nobody will be able to tell the difference.  My dress is ivory and my FI will be wearing a white shirt.  Not a big deal.

Is there an option to wear an ivory shirt with his tux? My dress is ivory as well and FI will be wearing an ivory shirt to match. I don't think it's that big of a deal as well but the tux shop seemed to feel it was a big no-no or something.

My dress was champagne and ivory, but my DH wore a white shirt.  It looked fine!  (you can see pics in my married bio).  The tux shop did try to convince me that I was making a mistake (haha), but I thought their ivory shirts were too yellowish compared to my gown so we stuck with the white.
