What if my dress gets dirty at Portrait shoot?

Obviously cleaning it is the answer; however, I've ordered today a Maggie Sottero Evita and am so completely thrilled with it that I'm terrified to get an outdoor portrait and snag it or get it dirty etc?? Has anyone experienced this?

Re: What if my dress gets dirty at Portrait shoot?

  • Are you doing this before your wedding or are you talking on your wedding day? If it's before your wedding day just have it cleaned. If it's on the day of your wedding there's not much you can do. A lot of brides carry white chalk to cover up any little marks. My ceremony and pictures were outdoors in a garden and it really wasn't a problem. My dress was dragged through grass, bricks, the street and it was fine. It only started to get a little dirty at the reception when I spilled some of the chicken florentine on it and when people would accidently step on the bustle of my dress. It's honestly not a big deal. We had the dress cleaned about a week after the wedding and everything came out and the hem was pretty dirty. Just remember you're only wearing this once (maybe twice if you have a portrait shoot on a different day) so if it gets a little dirty it's not the end of the world.
