Making Memories sale strategies

Hello Ladies: I am in the midst of searching for my dress. Ideally, I would like to buy the dress at a Making Memories sale.  Several members of my family died of breast cancer and I currently have a brother who is battling Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I love the idea that the price of my dress will go to a good cause.  Has anyone out there gone to one of these sales? Any strategy suggestions.  I already went shopping so I have an idea of what I am looking for. There are two sales coming up in my area.  One is at the end of September. Thank you!

  • They have things organized by size and whether they are designer or not. There's lots of gowns but I thought it was pretty easy to sift through them.My biggest tip is that if you find a gown take it outside and check the colour. I bought a gown that was sunburned and I'm now trying to sell it because, although they restored it (I haven't seen it), the stress of the whole ordeal made me not want to wear it.Also, if you haven't already started looking don't let the charity/good prices sway your decision if you are unsure.Good luck! It's a great charity and I hope you find your dream dress!

  • I am in the Seattle, WA area.  The sale is a fundraiser for http://bridesagainstbreastcancer.org/. You can go to this site to see if there will be a sale in your area in the next few months.  I am excited to give it a try.  For people who have already gone to one of these sales.  Can you bring people with you?
