Veil?

With an ivory dress do you get an ivory veil, or does it not matter? TIA :-)

Re: Veil?

 • usually, yes. the white netting will look gaudy against an ivory dress.

 • Fantastic, thanks for the help Ladies! :-)
 • I had a white veil with my ivory/champagne dress and it looked just fine. Pics in my bio if you want to see what it looks like.

 • jagore08~ Thanks for sharing those pics. You're right you couldn't even tell. I think that champagne is a little lighter than ivory, right? I love your veil by the way. Was it a two tier?
 • The middle of my dress (the color block on the bodice) is champagne and the rest of the dress is ivory. My veil was a drop veil so it had a blusher and a chapel length train. It's very sheer and that might be a reason that you couldn't tell. If it were bunched up at the comb you might be able to tell more that it was white. Do you know what kind of veil you want?

 • jagore08~ I was thinking a cathedral length veil. Nothing fancy, very light. When I was at the bridal store I tried on a fingertip length veil with a blusher and it looked great, but hey why not have the best of both worlds. I really admire your veil and now after seeing it I think that is the style that I am leaning more towards. :-D
 • Thanks. I would suggest if you don't want any embellishments (like mine) and you don't want to DIY your veil, you might want to check into http://www.occanseydesigns.com/ or see if your seamstress can make you one (mine did for about $60). It will be much cheaper than what you'll pay for in a bridal salon.

 • Thanks! That is great advice. My co-worker that offered to make it for me is a seemstress. I just have to buy the materials. :-) I really lucked out there.
