    Where do you live?  You may be better off going to a local bridal shop/boutique to try on dresses.  You may find a dress that you love even if it's by a designer you hadn't heard of.  Also, you may be liking dresses online but may end up not liking them as much when you try them on.  Just a thought, HTH.

    Thank you all for your encouraging advice!  I'm now considering driving down to Portland (I'm in the Seattle area) to try out some stores there.  I should be more open minded and not give up just yet!However, if I hear one more grandma tell me how they bought their wedding dress for $300 at J.C. Penny's, I'm going to scream!
