Opinions please - PIP

Ok ladies, I'm really narrowing it down here, so I'd love to get some feedback on these two VERY different dresses. One is totally me and everything I wanted: edgy, different, unique, detailed. The other is everything I thought I didn't want: simple form-fitting, minimalist, low key, but does look great on me. But that could also be because the sample fit me like a glove, and I don't want to base any decisions on fit since dresses always look great when they fit you perfectly, and in the end ,whatever dress I chose will fit me perfectly. So here they are, both with me in 'em: Dress #1: Another shot of dress #1: Dress #2:

• I like #2.   I think it's more flattering on you.
• I love #2.

• They are both gorgeous. I like #1s neckline.
• OMG these are BOTH so gorgeous!! Who makes them?? I can't really decide which it best. Yes 2 looks great but I think 1 will look great if it were a little smaller... I think 1 is a little more formal, 2 a little less formal...where are you getting married? Wow, I really LOVE those. I'm going to save these for my wanna try on list :)
• I LOVE #1, who makes that dress, it's amazing and I think it looks great! #2 is also great though, I like the back...I don't think you can go wrong with either!
• Dress #1 is Jim Hjelm #8912, and dress #2 is Melissa Sweet Eze

• I like number 2. I wouldn't say it's low-key. It's definitely simpler, but stunning. You look great in both.
• NUMBER ONE!!! I feel very strongly about this :)
• I love number 1, but both look lovely!
• #1, it's crazy good. I haven't seen anyone wear something like it at any wedding (I've been to a lot!). I can only imagine the detail following all the way down to the bottom. LOVELY!
• I absolutely love #1. #2 is pretty but not as special IMO.
• They are both amazing.  How will you ever decide?  Good luck.
• They are both beautiful dresses but Number #1 is definably more unique and special...there is a whole really cool look that goes along with that dress.. I picture it with really soft florals and maybe some 50's style hair and makeup. Beautiful. I would defiantly go with number ONE!!!
• I love #1. I don't like what #2 is doing with the swag of fabric on your hip/butt area.

• I like number 1.  I don't like the flowers on the front from #2
• I love #1...#2 doesn't do it for me, the back is pretty but like PP I don't like the flowers on the front.

• I really like both dresses.  I just love the details on #1, and the fabric looks amazing.  Dress # 2 looks perfect on your body, it is simple, but I don't think "too simple".On a side note, I tried on dress #2, but it made my hips and belly look wider - not what I am going for, haha.  But it looks amazing on you.  I'm assuming that's the dress that fit you like a glove and can see how it is a hard decision.
• I like #1 a lot better.
• I LOVE #1, although #2 is gorgeous too.
• My vote definitely goes to #2, but if you feel that strongly about #1 then don't even second guess yourself! Get what you love! Good luck!
• I absolutely love #1 on you, I think that it looks amazing and is super flattering! I personally am not a fan of #2 at all. To be completely honest, I think that the flower is a little floppy in the front and in the picture you posted there is something about the fabric draping that makes you look wider than you are You are tiny and #1 shows that off, while still being unique and modern! Good luck

• I like them both...the detail on 1 is amazing, but I like the way number 2 fits you. Of course, might be the sample size...tough choice. Think I have to go with number 2. (My fiance just stepped into the room and says he likes number 1) just thought I'd let you know :)
• I like #2. I tried on #1 as well. It is pretty, but I felt it was just another A-line dress with a sash. #2, with the empire line and draping, makes it look modern and fresh, to me.
• I think they are both very different.  I actually chased down #1 when it came out this year and tried it on.  I think that #2 fits you beautifully. This is not because of sample vs. dress being to big.  I would go with that (I don't think that it is plain).  The silhouette gives you more of an hourglass shape in #2. (in a great way).  Ultimately they are both very pretty dresses and you should go with what you love on you, not what you thought you would love on you :)
• I LOVE the detail in dress #1. But, the cut and shape of dress #2 looks absolutely amazing on you and it's very pretty.
• I had a feeling number 2 was a PoB line and then I saw you confirm it as I scrolled down. No wonder why I prefer #2 - I love Melissa Sweet!I think the Melissa Sweet still gives you room to make it a more modern look - it's classically beautiful but you can accessorize to punch it up a bit. Plus, the detail and sweep on the front is very pretty and unique in itself.
• Thank you so much for all the feedback! Obviously there are differing opinions here, but it seems like the consensus leans toward #1. I think #2 would be perfect for a smaller, less formal beach wedding. (Although I am getting married on a boat, but the reception will be formal, evening, 200 people, etc.).And steffenfam, so funny you said that - I totally agree that the sash needs to be longer. I'm going to a JH trunk show this weekend and that's one of the changes I am hoping they can make, along with buttons down the back. So I guess my only reservations are these: 1. It's about twice the price of dress #12. While it looks nice on me, it doesn't show off my figure much, and hey, I might not have it much longer. 3. My mom is not crazy about it. But who knows, maybe she will like it more this weekend when I try it on again. Thanks again!
