I was just looking at your bio and we have really similar tastes in dresses! At first I absolutely loved Rasharna because of the dots, but never got to try it on. Up until a month ago I was sure that Allison Marie (without the crazy shoulder thing) was THE dress. And, I was gonna take off the side flower and add a brooch with a peacock feather instead. However, I have finally settled on one dress...Essence of Australia D937 because of the amazing train (and minus the straps). I think I am gonna remove the beading on the side of this one and put a peacock feather too. Anyway, just wanted to share. Oh, and I love the polka dot veil! How adorable :)

  • Hey there! Rock on! I tried a non-polka dot version of Rasharna on last weekend- cute, fun dress, but not NEARLY as flattering as others! I'm seriously digging Allison Marie b/c it's so easily customizable, but I hate hate hate the shiny taffeta lol! I wish they'd do it in a shantung or silk taffeta, but no go (gee, thanks MS!) I'll have to check Essence of Australia out a little closer- kind of rushed through the website before, saw a lot of beads and sparkles and rushed on to the next one lmao. Certainly couldn't hurt to look through a little slower! :)

  • I know what you are saying about the taffeta...I kinda hate it haha. That was the big downfall of Allison Marie, but in pictures it doesn't look bad at all, and I don't think anyone else would notice as much as you would. I say go for it because it is really flattering. I had never even heard of Essence of Australia until I tried my dress on at the bridal store. I actually really hate how it looks on the model. And like you say, I hate beading and shiny things so I am glad my dress has minimal sparkle haha. The top fits almost exactly like the Allison Marie, but the bottom is a little fuller. And the material is a really rich silk which I love. Unfortunately it is a lot more expensive (and out of my price range) so I had to make some adjustments other places in the budget. Oh well...good luck chosing your dress!!
