David's Bridal question

I am going dress shopping soon and am pretty sure I will get it at David's since they are located all over and have the best prices. I have found 3 dresses from them that I like, but they are all only online not at the store. I really need to go and try some on first and not just get one online. If I bring in pictures of their 3 online ones I like will they have something similar to it in the store? I am wondering because on their website they show their online dresses and their in store dresses and I don't see any of the in store ones I like. This can't be ALL they have in the store can it?

Re: David's Bridal question

  • I would print them out and bring them with you. Tell them that you are seriously considering purchasing one of those dresses and you need to try on similar styles so you can get an idea of the fit. The good thing about DB is that they have a ton of dresses so something should do.

  • At davids they have pretty much all the dresses in the store they just don't sell all of the dresses online.  you should be fine.
  • Jessa, this is not true. They have a number of dresses that are only avaliable online. I agree with printing out the picture and asking to try on something in a similar style.

  • I kind of disagree because the sales person at David is not going to be interested in helping you buy a dress online, they will be trying to sell you a dress in store. Is there any kind of return policy?
  • If you buy online you can return it, but you have to mail it, they won't accept it at the store.
  • I recommend printing the pictures and setting an appt at DB. They have dress specialist that will be able to find something in a similar style to help with the fit and sizing. Also I would not worry about getting their help because even if you purchased online if you have a good sales person they can still get the commission for an online purchase you just have to ask for their employee number. Everyone is really great in the Altamonte Springs location and no matter where you purchase they would be happy to assist you.
  • i recommend trying them on or something similiar, i tried on a few dresses there and they didnt look like i thought they would. I wasnt particularly impressed with the quality (i could have been the ones i tried on). But for the price there where designer gowns i tried that i felt where made better.
  • I went to DB and tried on dresses... I showed them a style # of a couple dresses that were "online only."  They had one of the "online only" dresses that I liked in store - it was the only one, and it happened to be in my size and in the color I wanted (ivory).  When it's an "online only" dress, it has been discontinued and is usually on sale.  I took the fact that I loved the dress, my size, my color and the fact that it was on sale all as a sign (I was stuck between this dress and another) and I bought the dress right off the rack that I had tried on!  I would suggest going with the style numbers in hand, if they have some available, you can try them on and see if you like them on you... nothing says you have to buy it in store (I did bc I wanted the consultant to get the commission).  Good luck!
