Question about veil color matching my dress...

Hi Girls... my dress is a Maggie Sotterro, Jorie Anne.  The color of the dress is diamond white over light gold.  Are there any other brides out there who have this color dress?  If so, what color veil are you planning on wearing?  I'm having a really hard time finding a veil to match.  I feel like the diamond white or ivory colored veils look too white when looking at them with the dress.  Can someone help me figure out what color would look best?TIA!

I had a light gold MS dress (w/ no lace overlay) and wore an ivory veil.  It looked better against the dress than a diamond white veil because its a little softer.  I did try on champagne colored veils but I felt like that they looked dirty.  So I went with a lighter color, even though it didnt entirely match my dress.  It looked fine in pictures.Its such a subtle thing to notice and no one would unless they have just recently been married and knows the difference between a white/ivory/diamond white/etc :-)  If I were you, I would go with a veil that matches the color of the lace on your dress.  Hope that helps.

I have a diamond white dress, and I sent the dress swatch to the veil designer, and they matched the veil to my dress for me. I am not sure where you plan on getting your veil, but some designers will do this for you.

Have you considered getting a bit of the fabric used to make your dress and doing a DIY veil?

Barakins.... i'm actually looking into doing that now.  I was just wondering if there was a way to avoid this by coming close enough to matching so that i dont worry so much.

I am having the same problem! I have a Maggie dress in light gold with champagne accents. I'm thinking an ivory veil will be fine. .. I hope!I have to start looking. Good luck!

You could see about getting a matching veil custom-made on Etsy if you want it to be exact.  For the veil part of my headpiece, I'm probably going to have a layer of gold fabric over a layer of white.
