Veil or no Veil?

Hey,I need some help girls. I tried on my dress last night and found out it can be brought down to my size. And i know i will need to wear a tiara because FI is about a foot taller than I and I would break my ankle in six inch heels. I found a Tiara that I LOVE at the bridal shop. Now heres my dilemma. I'm not sure if I should wear a veil or not. I tried some on with the tiara and It just seemed to be too much. If i wore one i would want it to be something simple and not too long just waist length or shorter. Here is the dress accept it will be pink instead of red. Sorry I don't have any picks of me in it. they wouldn't be very good anyway cuz it needs to be sized. http://www.alfredangelo.com/Collections/ProductDisplay.aspx?productID=2039e191-e45b-4b44-bba1-6a2ac07f9712&categoryID=8b186130-0d63-4e3c-ac5c-aea0d9566e1c&pg=1  Let me know what you think.

Re: Veil or no Veil?

  • Do you want to wear a tiara or do you feel like it will at height to your look? What about something that is more of a headband style with a veil?
  • Yes I want to add height so for the pictures it is a little more proportional, plus i like tiaras. I never thought of a headband, I already put a down payment on the tiara at the dress shop but I can keep looking.
  • Personally, I'm a big fan of veils on brides. Most girls only get one day in their lives to wear a veil, so do it! But that's just me. I think a single tier fingertip or elbow length veil with scattered crystals would look great with that dress. Keep to the single tier though because that won't cover up the back of the dress and the color. But of course, do whatever you feel most comfortable with!
  • Hello!!! I know how you feel!! At first I didnt want to wear a veil cuz I was going to wear a tiara... but when I had my dress on at the shop and the tiara and then I threw my hair up (wearing it up when i get married) i put the veil underneath my hair (above my neck) and i fell in LOVE witht he veil....the veil didnt look good when i had it on top of my head... too much was going on.... its your day!! if you just want a tiara then just do that!! do what makes you feel beautiful!!! GL
  • I must say that I am also a big fan of a veil on a bride; there is something so beautiful about it. The lenght of the veil will depend on the formality of the wedding and the style of the dress. In your case if your wedding is formal you could do a chapel lenght veil that is very simple & sheer, that way it still shows the beautiful details on the back of the dress.
