  • I think the Black Belt to make your waist look really small would be great. Or even a belt with some sparkle!

Also, do you need a shrug or do you just want some sort of sleeve to cover your shoulders? I would have your seamstress add detachable sheer-like cap sleeves that you can take off at the reception. It's a very simple fix! The shrug just seems at odd with the dress--because the dress is so summery and airy and the shrug is so winterish/heavy.

[QUOTE]Could you possibly have sleeves added to the dress? I think a lighter more sheer sleeve could look really pretty (think the white shrug without the back and just sheer short sleeves added). That's what I did with my dress and I loved the look (below). The man who altered it just ordered extra lace from the manufacturer and made the sleeves custom to my liking. With yours it seems like it would be even easier since there's no lace to coordinate.

If you're just needing some sleeves definitely do this!! That dress looks great on you btw! The shrugs make it look too casual to me. But if you must do a shrug I think a lighter color would be better. And definitely a color that coordinates with your bridesmaid dresses!
