what are you wearing under your dress? ie: spanxs etc

Im  not sure what i should buy to wear under my dress. Im going to have my 1st fitting this month so i need to get on it. I was thinking about going to nordstroms today..Im not sure if i should get a great strapless bra and then some spanxs or something like that to hold it all in... or try to find one of those long line bras that you try on the dresses with at the bridal shops. 

I have a one year old and as much as i try and try my stomach is just not the way it used to be, so I really feel like i would feel more comfortable with something on , not just a strapless bra.

I loooove spanx, and I wear them a few times a year. However, there is no way I would wear them on my wedding day. They tend to be pretty uncomfortable... not sure if you have worn them before.
I think a long line bra may be more up your alley.

I'm wearing a full-length slip with built-in strapless bra. The slip is tight, but isn't uncomfortable like Spanx. The only place I found anything like it was at David's Bridal.

Ill also only be wearing panties. I had them put cups in my dress for the bust area. But I don't want to be super uncomfortable.

At first I thought Spanx, but then I had the same thought as PP, which is that I can't imagine wearing them all day long when I'm doing so much. I'm hoping to get cups put in my dress so I don't have to worry about a bra, and then I may try to find a waist-cincher if I still don't like how my stomach looks. I'll probably just wear panties on the bottom because an A-line ballgown hides a multitude of sins there.

I got a longline bra from a local lingerie shop, it ended up being way more reasonable than I thought. I wouldn't get one from a bridal shop though, since I guarantee those are crazy inflated prices. The one I got controls all through the torso down to the hips, and then I'll just wear regular panties, no spanx.

It all depends on your dress!!  If you download the Vera Wang on Weddings app there is a beyond helpful article all about "the foundation" aka what to wear under your gown.  It really helped me decide what kind of garments were right for me!!  Hope this helps

Im wearing a strapless bra and spandex workout (biker) shorts. They hug me enough I don't feel lumyp but are not as tight as Spanx. I do wear Spanx when in a nice regular dress. But I was afraid of trying to pee and wrangle them down and lift a floor length gown in a stall. Just my luck I'd drop the bottom of my dress in the toilet. LOL

I brought a pair of control top thongs from Victoria Secrets. I wore them to work a couple of times to see if I they would be okay all day and they were fine.
