boutonniere and pocket square?

Ok ladies... need some help here! :)  Can the guys wear a boutonniere *and* a pocket square or must it be either or?  FI and BM are wearing sutis and bought the pocket squares  and I've ordered bouts for them (pink gerbera daisies!) .  I never thought about whether they can do both....  advice please!!!

Thanks ladies!  The guys really want to wear their pocket squares so I'll just let them :)

  • I work in a mens clothing store and it is actually proper etiquette to wear both a flower and a pocket silk. It started back in England with the royals and has continued on. Hope this helps!!
  • The place where we're getting our tuxes has vests, pocket squares and ties all in the same color and fabric. That's not possible to find at the major chain stores, I found out. We're doing a navy tux with cornflower blue accessories (we'll have both a pocket square and a boutonierre).

I'll bet this place will send you  ties and pocket squares in your color. They are one-size fits all for adults or children.

It's King Tux Rentals in Kennesaw, GA. You can do a google search for them.

I say do whatever you want. I don't really like the look of the bout. so I'm having the guys just do pocket squares.
