Hi I've never posted on this board before but my mom is in desperate need of advice. First of all my wedding is turning out to be kind of a "preppy picnic" feel with lots of summery colors and a laid back vibe. Think sherbet ice cream colors. SO my mom was thinking she would get a shorter dress since the event is not super formal... WELL my FMIL has already gone ahead and bought a long dress. It's "flowy" and only had a few rhinestones, BUT my mom is wondering if she has to get a long dress too now. So question is should my mom go ahead and try to match the feel of FMIL's dress or go with her original thought of having a shorter nice dress???
