Opinions on bridesmaid dress

I need help!

Do you think this bridesmaid dress is appropriate for an evening formal wedding? Is it not dressy enough? Can I dress it up a little more with some strappy rhinestone shoes and some nice jewelry? Also, how do you think it will look on sizes 2-22.

I think it looks O.K. for an evening wedding, unless it's super-formal and all your female guests will likely be in floor-length dresses. What material is it made from?

Don't make the BMs wear the same shoes. Pick out a neutral color (silver, gold, black, bronze) and then let them pick their own dress shoes. Pre-approve them if you must, but don't make them wear the same shoes. It's unnecessary and nobody will notice their shoes.

If you want to buy them matching jewelry, that's fine.

We can't tell you how it will look on sizes 2-22. Let them try it on and see for yourselves. You may not find one style that works for everyone, so at least be open to the idea of letting them wear different styles (you could pick the designer, color, fabric and skirt length, and then let them choose a style from there - that way, it still looks uniform but they will be individually comfortable).

It's a very pretty dress, but I'm not sure if this dress would be flattering on a size 22 because sometimes that type of draping on the bust looks really weird on big boobs. They would just need to try it on.

As for shoes, I have to disagree about matching shoes. True, they don't have to match, but I think it looks nice when they do. It is true that many people will not notice, but it is false that no one will notice. I love details (and no, not just because I'm a bride-to-be myself) and do notice things like that. I think a shoe with a little bling would be very nice with that dress.

My main beef with matching shoes is that not every woman can wear the same shoe. Not only because of style preferences, but because of foot issues and comfort. Plus I find it really unnecessary to buy a specific shoe when the girls probably own a suitable neutral shoe already ... BMs have enough to pay for already.

And I think it's rude when the bride says that they HAVE to wear matching shoes. But if she ASKS, and if they all agree to it, then that's awesome. But I would hate to think that a BM would agree to matching shoes even if she wasn't happy with them (because how many of us would just suck it up for a friend, even if we weren't happy with the dress/shoe choice?).

I think it's one thing to agree on a dress that you're not in love with, but the wrong kind of shoe can make a lovely wedding just miserable for a bridesmaid. If everyone agrees on matching shoes, then hopefully everyone's truthful about the comfort. That was my point

I think the color and materal are great for a formal evening wedding.

I think height (if it's an issue) might play a role in how well that dress would look as well.  I am pretty tall and something like that would not hang well on my body frame.  If you would like one dress to fit a range of sizes, I am not sure that would be the one to pick.

Just my opinion - perhaps you can get at least some of the BM's to try it on to see how it goes.
