Need help with shoes. Have a long train at an outside wedding.

I really would like some open toe shoes that look beautiful with my dress. I'm afraid of wearing heels because I don't want to sink in the grass. I thought about wedges, but I don't know if it'd look good. I don't like ballet shoes because most are closed in the front and my toes feel cramped.The reception will be easier, because the train will be bustled, but ideas would be great! Thanks!
