Reception music Must haves and do not play

Just curious what everyone's must play at your reception and do not play lists look like (or looked like if you're already married).  Trying to compile my list for my DJ.

Also, will you allow requests from guests if they go up to the DJ on their own during the night?

So far I've got:

Must play:
Something by the old boy band O-Town because it's special to me and my college saraity friends (used to sing it at our parties)
Yellow by Coldplay (college friends)
Sweet Caroline (my mom's name is Caroline and a bunch of our guests are red sox fans, we'll wait to later in the evening when everyone has had some drinks I think it will be funny).

Do not play:
Grease Medley
Line dances (cha cha slide, chicken dance etc)
Anything really sappy like Celeine Dion
Any of the "fun songs" like YMCA, We are Family, Shout etc.

As long as the song requested isn't something on my do not play list I don't see an issue.

We allowed guests to make requests.

We had some unsual "Must Play" songs. We met/went to college in Nova Scotia and my family is originally from there. So we created an "East-Coast" Medley of traditional songs from that region. It was awesome I was step-dancing along with some of my BMs and family & friends, they loved it. We also asked the DJ to play our immediate family member's wedding songs (so like our parents, my older sister, aunts & uncles etc.) instead of playing random slow songs! Everyone loved the personalized touch.

    Our Do Not Play List:
Black Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feeling"- This was my MOH's theme song for her wedding her DJ played it atleast 4 times and we walked into it as her BP.
    Macarena
    Chicken Dance
    Aqua "Barbie Girl"
    "Soulja Boy"
    * There may have been a few more

Our do-not play list really didn't have too much on it. We just didn't want the DJ to play line dancing songs and things like that.. so we just had songs like Cotton Eyed Joe, the Macarena, Hot Hot Hot, and the Chicken Dance on there. We really only gave the DJ some suggestions as to what to play, and let him take the reigns. He's the professional!

We let our guests make requests, too. I think the guests really enjoyed it, as then they would be more apt to get up and dance and enjoy if they're hearing music that they love. However, the DJ would not play songs off our do-not play list if a guest requested it.
