Jewel embelished gown... should I wear a Necklace?

This is the neckline for my dress ... I plan on wearing a nice sized haircomb in
swarovski crystal on the side ... do you guys think I should wear a necklace ?
I'm so torn! I was thinking of doing a very simple piece maybe a vintage teardrop

Re: Jewel embelished gown... should I wear a Necklace?

  • I wish the model had her hair up.  As much as I can see of the neckline I would say no necklace.
  • That gown is gorgeous! Congrats! I personally wouldn't wear a necklace with that gown. I'd look for some vintage looking dangle earrings.

  • no necklace just a nice earring
    keep it simple
do not forget the bracelet tho  (no watch)
  • Darn it, I always have a hard time viewing photos at brides.com - I don't know why!

Anyhow, if the top half of your dress is very embellished - and you're wearing a jeweled comb - take it easy on the remainder of the accessories.  I like the suggestions of some teardrop earrings and a bracelet, but the necklace I agree would be jewelry overload...

In fact, if it were me and I had an embellished dress (which I don't) and was wearing a comb (which I'm not), I would wear delicate earrings and no bracelet.
  • I agree with PP--no necklace. The neckline is gorgeous!!!!  I'd for some some nice earrings.
  • Beautiful dress! I think if you really want to wear a necklace, you can.  I think you can get away either way!
