I was wondering if honorary groomsmen also get boutinneres? And do they match the groomsmen's?? Thanks!!

Re: Boutinneres for honorary groomsmen??

  • I'm surprised y'all haven't heard of them! almost every wedding I've been to have honorary groomsmen/bridesmaids. It is a person close to you that you wish to recognise, but don't have standing up from with you during the ceremony. For example, I only have three bridesmaids, fiance has 3 groomsmen and 6 honorary groomsmen

    So it's a b-list?
It sounds lame and condescending to me. I would call these people guests and give them programs and nothing else.

  • I'm so glad I'm not getting married in the South.
  • so they're more important than a regular guest, but not quite GM material. sounds awesome.
  • wth is your problem. Didn't realize I was typing a formal letter. Yes, I typed "y'all". There are so many things I'd love to say, but just will not. UGH!! So sorry for not understanding the concept of an honorary groomsmen. I didn't realize I had to know eveything about weddings to post a question. It was something my FMIL suggested and I thought I'd ask you ladies (I use the term loosely) for advice. Thanks.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Boutinneres for honorary groomsmen?? : is this a real post? call me a yankee, but i didn't know people don't just say "y'all" but actually type it too. seriously? oh and honorary groomsmen- usually reserved for those who couldn't make the trip (or maybe dead?)- i have no idea. if they're present, either have them be groomsmen or nothing at all. dont have "b-list" groomsmen thats beyond rude.

Really? I didn't know "yankee" was synonymous with "jerk." Yes, this is a real post- does it make you feel better about yourself to belittle other brides who are merely having a conversation? There is more to this country than what you see every day, and just because someone speaks differently than you doesn't mean that you are in some way better or more correct. I hope you are of more substance than this pathetic post allowed us to see. You should be embarrassed.
