I am having a fall wedding in early october next year in the midwest. The ceremony will be held outside in a grassy area. I am scared half to death because pretty much all of my bridesmaids and I are kind of clumsy at times...so I'm not very sure that I want us all to wear heels and risk getting stuck in the ground and tripping and falling in front of 200 people. So, I was thinking about doing the barefoot bridal sandals...we would all wear different ones. I know they are usually worn for destination weddings on the beach, but would it be tacky for us to do this for my fall/outdoor wedding?
My mom will probably kill me if I tell her that I want us to wear flip flops, and I'm just not really down with flats for a wedding ceremony..........for the reception...I could care less, but I just think everything for the ceremony ought to be a little prettier looking. Plus, no one will really know because all the dresses are floor length anyways. It's also kind of a budget thing. I'm not the bride who wants to run her maids into the ground for their outfit/accessories.
Any thoughts or suggestions?!?!?!
