back of the dress style

I'm having my dress designed for me by a close friend, who is a professional textile artist and clothing designer (in other words, it's not going to look "homemade!").  We have the style for the front of the dress sketched out. I've been trying to find ideas for the back of the dress, but I haven't been able to find much - most of the pictures on the knot.com dresses section only show the front. Any suggestions on where to find lots of pics all in one place of wedding dress backs?  Thanks!

Re: back of the dress style

  • Try looking at designers websites....they should have a front view and a back view of their dresses.

  • I agree with PP.

If I were you I would try on dresses at a shop to see what works on your body and what you like before you start designing.   Then note the names of the dresses, iso you can look up the pictures online if they don't let you take pictures.

  • Priscilla of Boston also have fronts and backs of their dresses.  Many other designers do too.

I agree you should try on dresses, and if your friend is a designer she can probably sketch the ones you like since most places don't allow pics.  Good luck!  Sounds fun to design your own dress.
