Hair extensions...ya or na?

I am trying to figure out how I am going to do my hair....I know that I want it 1/2 up 1/2 down...maybe with soft curls (see pic). I am debating on whether I should get extensions or not. Right now my hair is just sitting on my shoulders - I have six months to grow it out. Any suggestions or comments on the extensions??
When should I have my first hair rehersal??

I did extensions for prom..although mine were glued in (which is a real pain to get out) I think it cost around $100 to have them put in, but they looked fabulous! My sister used the clip ons and the looked great as well. I say go for it, I love that hair do in the pic!
