I just wanted to share the story of my dress journey. I've been looking for months in my city where there's about 4 dress shops. The employees were getting a little sick of me. At the beginning of my journey my fiance (who's got great taste) saw a picture of this dress in a catalog and said in his opinion "that's THE one", after he said no to just about everything I showed him. I wasn't overly impressed with it, I called the stores and one in my area was getting the dress in but they never called me back and I never followed up.
Yesterday I travelled 3 hours to a larger city for a place called "Bridal Row", it's a 2 block area with a little over 10 bridal stores! My heaven. With time ticking down I told myself I'm not leaving bridal row until I buy. The first store I went into I fell in love with Maggie Sottero's "Jenna". I told myself I'll buy this dress if I don't top it today. I went to every other store and was saving the really nice looking store (that my friend suggested for last) but knew I would have to go back to the first store to try "Jenna" on before making a decision.
I planned to rush through the last store so I could get back to "jenna" in the first store but in the last store low and behold dress Jenna was there along with the dress months earlier my fiance had loved! I tried both on and loved both! I knew it was between the two. I ended up choosing the dress my fiance had picked months earlier that I never liked!! I LOVE THE DRESS. I think it's really romantic too that he had picked it. And it seemed meant to be the two dresses were both in the last store I had waited to go to. Plus the song I want to walk down the isle to "Tale as Old as Time" started playing when I put on what is now, MY DRESS! I'm not telling my fiance I chose the dress he loved, it will be a surprise for him on the wedding day! Here's my dress!
