So, one of my dear and beloved friends is going to be a bridesmaid. She's short and fairly heavyset, and lives about 10 hours north of me. My sister, who's the MOH, is very tall and skinny, and goes to school about 10 hours south of me.
Originally I'd suggested giving the girls the color and length I wanted, and letting everyone pick out their own dresses. My mom has recently insisted that I make all the girls get matching dresses. (Mom and Dad are paying for the wedding, but not the BMs' dresses.)
I talked to my bridesmaid about going dress shopping, and she immediately sounded nervous. Dress shopping is an ordeal for her, and she doesn't think it will be at all fun.
I don't know what style of dress would work best for her and my other girls. Is there any way I can make this situation better?
