Advice on dressing the Groomsmen

We are having an October wedding. My bridesmaids will be wearing "truffle" brown long dresses. I'm having trouble deciding on what to dress the men in. I'm leaning towards either dark tan suits (with chocolate brown vests and ties) or black suits/tuxs with chocolate brown vests and ties. My FI thinks he might want to dress the men in gray sutis.
Any one else having their BMs in chocolate brown? What are you doing for your groomsmen?

Re: Advice on dressing the Groomsmen

  • have them in black suits.

matching flowers on bouquets & bouts will be enough.
  • I think even dark gray would be nice. Definitely not the tan.

  • Black or navy suits would look good and, IMO, better than gray suits. Depending on the color brown, I actually think that black and brown look nice together. Don't do brown vests though. If the GMs are buying new suits, I'd suggest navy or black - not many men will rewear a tan suit since it's more of a day-time suit and wouldn't really work for other functions.
  • Stick with basic black and coordinate the boutonnieres to have a touch of brown in them.
