Wearing Glasses

Question for brides with vision problems:

Did you wear glasses on your wedding day or did you switch to contacts for the wedding?

Re: Wearing Glasses

  • I don't have to worry about it since I had LASIK but if I didn't I'd wear contacts. I don't think glasses would look bad if they were cute and didn't look totally out of place.

  • I wore contacts - I always do for sports and special occasions. I use dailies so they were pretty comfortable all day.

  • I have a six months supply of contacts that I've had foralmost a year now haha. I wear my glasses most of the time, except for on special occassions. I plan to wear contacts the day of my wedding, though-even if they do make my eyes tired.
  • I won't be, but I can promise you my FH will be wearing his!
  • I'm wearing contacts, and FI will be wearing his glasses.  If I had frames as nice as his, I'd keep my glasses on, but I don't really like my frames at all.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • I won't be wearing my glasses, but FI will be wearing his. I don't wear mine for everything, so no one would be surprised if I wasn't wearing them. But I think that you can still look great on your wedding day in glasses.

Here are some brides in glasses:

  • I'm wearing my glasses but I am getting new ones (mine are old and the frames are chipping, I'm thinking about getting frameless ones).  My glasses are part of who I am and I am most comfortable in them. I think I look funny without them!

  • As the pp said, I wear glasses and I wanted to be me on my wedding day. What would I ave been saying to my FH if I had changed my appearance on our wedding day? Not anything I wanted to be saying, surely.

Now if you regulary wear contacts AND glasses, then that is diferent. I personally feel more comfortable in glasses. Also my DH wears glasses and hates the feel of contacts so he wore glasses on the day as well. (Plus, I totally have a fetish for glasses and my man looks hotttttt in them! LOL)

Wear what you are physically comfortable in (a pp said she would them even if her eyes got tired - that's ridiculous!) and what you feel beautiful in. GL! :-)
