Attire & Accessories Forum

So, I decided I hate my jewelry.

Ah, I wish I had found these forums earlier. They are so much help!!

I decided the other day I really just don't like the jewelry I had picked out (the white/cream, not the pink). http://charmingcharlie.com/cc/product/productDetails.jsp?pId=3000299389&sId=10981500010&pgName=&pdpTrail=

I have no idea what direction to go. Here's my dress.

I was thinking something relatively simple. My wedding is in the AM, so I don't want anything too formal. I'm trying to use minimal crystal/diamonds and stay with pearls.

    Wedding date twin!

Well the good news is that you didn't spend a ton, so the loss isn't a big deal.

Check out Etsy, that's where I got mine and I love it. There is SUCH a huge selection and a lot of shops will customize things for you if you need a few changes to a specific piece.

  • OH, also. Would ya'll recommend going with gold or silver tones? My colors are pinkish/coral and chocolate brown. My bridesmaids are wearing gold and pink (the pink version of my old necklace), but my ring is silver? But I feel like being fall, and my colors being warm tones that if I go with a metal it should be gold toned?

  • You dont need to match your wedding/E-ring. I think you should stick with the gold tones.

And I second the Etsy suggestion.

  • How about a simple champagne coloured  or white pearl necklace?

  • I'm a fan of simple pearl necklaces.  Even a gold chain with one single pearl is just so very elegant.

The bottom of your dress is so dramatic that I agree with keeping the jewelry simple. That way your face is the next dramatic eyecatcher, not your throat.

Thanks everyone. yes, I've found that the more chunky, or layered necklaces just look goofy. I've dug through some of my grandma's old necklaces and have found a few I want to try on with my dress. Hopefully one will look good and that will take care of my something old, and something borrowed too Wink
