Right after we got engaged, my fiance and I went to visit his family for our informal engagement party. Before we got there, his mother informed me that she made appointments for us to go try on dresses. I couldn't possibly so no, because that would've caused a dramatic scene and major tension. So.... I found THE dress! I LOVE IT!!!!! When I got back I sent the pics to my mother who then went HYSTERICAL! SHE was the one that was supposed to help me find my dress... she said she had been looking forward to it my whole life, and my FMIL ruined it. Now, she keeps sending me pictures of other dresses and is set on me not getting the dress I found with my FMIL. I've been put in such an awkward situation, and looking for my dress hasn't been fun for me at all. Has anyone been in this situation? What do I do?
