help with bridesmaids jewelry

I'm having a hard time deciding what would look best with my bridemaids dresses. I have a tendency to pick simpler items, but I'm not sure with this one. This dress is fairly simple as it, so I need recommendations for necklaces and earrings. Should I do a drop, or a more bold set of beads or something?

Re: help with bridesmaids jewelry

  • Skip BM jewelry. It's not a gift and a waste of money.
  • I agree that it's not necessary and no, it isn't a gift... But, if you feel so compelled to get them something, I purchased my own bridal jewelry off of this site and I will be purchasing necklaces for my ladies apart from the gift I'm giving them.  The woman who owns this Etsy shop was great to work with as she made a change to the earrings I wanted and she took the bracelet from one package to put with the earrings and necklace of another.  She even gave me a coupon code.  Check her out!

  • Let them choose their own jewelry. I have no idea what my bridesmaids' jewelry looked like.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • Ditto pp's about letting them choose their own jewelry.

What color are the dresses? Can you ask them if they are wearing jewelry to try for something in gold tones or silver tones?

Having them stick to one tone but have different jewelry with different colors will give them each a bit of personality. Your BM's aren't cookie cutters of eachother and they shouldn't be :)

  • i gave my girls whtie gold diamond necklaces as part of their gift (yay black friday sales!), and let them decide if they wanted to wear it for the wedding or not. they all loved them and decided to wear them. haha

for your girls, i'd give them some ideas, or guidelines and let them pick.  for example: "silver jewelry" or "silver with a red accent", etc.  maybe have them show you their choice before they buy it just so you know what they're going to wear (if you care)

if you really want them to match, or if you really want to buy something for them, then i'd suggest a simple drop necklace.  they're classy and can be worn with so many other outfits. =)
