groomsmen attire

My colors for my wedding are going to be pink, brown, and champagne.  The pink will be like a petal pink/dusty rose.  I want my bridesmaids to wear pink dresses and I really want the groomsmen to have pink vests.  The bridesmaids will probably carry pink bouquets with some brown tied into them. Do you think that black tuxes would look okay or should they be brown because that's one of my colors.  If the tuxes were brown I would go with dark brown, but I'm not sure if I like brown tuxes.  What should I do?  I'm open to any suggestions.

This should be your FI's decision if he has any opinion on the matter, but I'm not a fan of brown tuxes/suits.  Go with black.

i agree....get his opinion. even though brown is one of your colors....i've never seen a brown tux/suit that wasn't a weird looking shade of brown.  you can never go wrong with black, it always looks good.

I would go with black.  My sister had the same colors for her wedding and the guys wore black with champagne vests.  It's just my personal preference.  Brown tuxedos remind me to much of a UPS delivery guy/gal.

Your FI should decide.

But I would do black tuxes. You don't need to put the GMs in brown just because brown is a wedding color. Not everything in your wedding has to follow an exact color scheme. This is why some colors are "neutral" colors, because they go with everything.

I also wouldn't do pink vests ... I don't like the way they look on adult men. Too prom-ish. I'd personally do black vests with pink ties, or silver vests and ties, or champagne vests and ties.

What does your FI think?

My FI doesn't care what they wear.....I do like the idea of black tuxes with champagne.  

CMGr, my FI is not going to wear pink, he's wearing ivory or white under the tux.....if I decided to go with the pink it would be just for the gm..and trust me it WON'T look like a costume.

I'm glad you all agree on not liking brown tuxes, I don't really care for them either, but I was recently at a wedding where the gm wore brown tuxes with green vest/ties, and then I was second guessing myself.  I don't really like black and brown together so the tuxes would either have to be black with pink (dusty rose) vest/tie or black with champagne vest/tie.
