VEIL

Are you guys wearing your veil the whole time at the ceremony and the reception? I can't decide what I want to do!  Any suggestions?!

Thanks! :)

Re: VEIL

  • I took mine off. I wish I could have worn it all night, but it kept getting caught in the beading along my neckline.
  • I have a blusher, so it will be just flipped back and maybe the comb lowered on my head during the reception. My veil is only elbow length, so it is not going to bother me during the reception...or so at least I think not.
  • Thanks guys!  I am thinking of wearing mine the whole time just because I think pictures look better with it on.  I need to make sure mine doesn't get caught on my dress since it is lace.  Thanks!
  • Mine is very heavy, will only be wearing it for the ceremony.

  • I want to wear mine the whole time because I LOVE it. But i'm worried about the pearl edging getting caught on the lace of my dress. That and it depends on how I have my hair done - which I wont know until the end of July. And I have heard that if you do alot of dancing the veil gets very annoying. So I guess I'm just going to have to wait and see!

  • I wasn't even going to get a veil, but the shop i went to put one on and I fell in love with it.  However it's a catherdral, there is no way I will be able to wear it all night.

  • I'm going to wear mine for the ceremony and photos, and then the entrance and first dance.  I'll probably take it off before dinner is served....it's long and I can tell that it's just going to get in the way.

I suppose that if you take it out, you can always put it back in later if you want!!!  Just get the hair dresser to show your MOH or a trusted BM to do it!!  :)
  • Ceremony only. I always think it looks weird when brides wear the veil through dinner and dancing. No offense.  Wink
  • I don't think it is weird at all.  Thanks for sharing your opinion.
  • I wore a birdcage veil and afterwards I made it into a barrett.  Here are before and after pictures...
