Maternity BM dress

I am now in the position of having a pregnant bridesmaid (which I am soooo happy about!) and she will be approximately 28 weeks on the day of, and now we are in the position of finding a dress for her that will fit.

all of the BMs including the one in question have already ordered this dress and received them (the color is sweet thistle):

so I have 2 options:
return the dress that the BM has, and order a larger size, take in as needed. do yall think the waist might be okay??? I feel it might be a little thick, and be too tight too low. I'll have to talk to my BM a bit more about how it fits on her currently.
or
find another dress that is similar. my mom's ONLY requirement--and as she is paying for the wedding, I am very lucky this is her only requirement--the BM dresses have to be the same. I know she'd make an exception in this case, as this pregnancy was unforeseen and she loves the girl to death, but to avoid any potential headaches... do yall know of good, reputable places to find a maternity dress? I'm googling, but was wondering if anyone had any tried-and-true websites.

I should probably mention that the wedding will be outdoors... in May... in Texas... in the early evening. we're talking temperatures in the 80s, at least. hence the sleeveless chiffon. long sleeves, especially on a pregnant woman (they usually run pretty hot), will not cut it. thanks though.

Could you get it altered to a sleeveless?

it looks really flowy and might work for her.  order a size or two bigger, to make up for any increase in the chest that she might experience.  and maybe the other girls could exchange the dresses they have (or, if your mom wouldn't care, the pregnant BM could jsut have the different dress).  i just noticed there is a big price difference though...that might be a factor.

Any chance she's not very tall (this way the front won't be too short)....she could order a second dress change the dress to empire (remove the waist band)  and panel the front to compensate for her expanding midsection???  It wouldn't be cheap, but could possibly be done.

Another option....take a look at the Taryn on J Crew's website....it might be an easier dress for her to wear...(and again....she might want to keep the other dress and use the fabric in the event she needs some room in the lining)...it wouldn't be the exact same dress, but the colors would match.  The reality is she's going to be different just by virture of the fact she is pregnant.

I do like the Taryn dress, and I do worry about length. she's not *tall* but she is 5'6", 5'7", and naturally lean (skinny arms and legs), so she looks very long. the Taryn dress IS expensive and out of my budget (I would be buying this for her, I bought the first one).
