Dress style for summer day wedding?

I am just wondering if there are any suggestions for certain styles or fabrics to avoid for my August wedding. Everything will take place indoors in air conditioning but photos will be outside and venue has partial outdoor space. I want to do a long dress but no tull and no puffiness. Any ideas for lightweight fabrics or summer dress ideas?

My dress has ruffles but no poof - I chose a chiffon since it is so lightweight.  My wedding is end of July - outdoor ceremony so I was worried about it being heavy.  

Mine is alfred angelo 2100.    The dress isn't heavy at all but has all the structure I could want.

Chiffon is definately a good option, satin organza is usually heavier, but a lighter alternative is usually a taffeta, personally just don't like the look of taffeta but you could try it!
