dresses

If I wear a tea length wedding dress my MOH and bridesmaid should wear short dresses right? Even if I choose a long dress I want them in short dresses because my wedding is formal but not like black tie formal. My MOH was like why can't I wear a long dress and my bridesmaid wear a short dress. I said it would not look right. I am only having the two of them and to quote my bridesmaid I look good in anything, so she wants to have an option but basically has said she will wear what I choose as long as it is short. At least we have till September or October to decide .

Re: dresses

  • I think short dresses would look cute next to your tea length gown. When are you getting married? Make sure you order your bridesmaids dresses at least 6 months in advance to avoid a rush fee. And if you haven't purchased your dress it needs to be 7-10 months in advance to be safe.

  • Yeah, if you are wearing a tea-length dress, I'd definitely go short(er). Would she be more amenable to a short dress if you give her freedom to choose which dress it is? That's the route I'd go, so then at least she likes the dress even though it's not long.
