Dessy Shoes (Flip Flops and Ballet Flats)

Has anyone purchased shoes from the dessy website?  I am looking at ordering the ballet flats to wear for my reception, and the flip flops for my BMs.  Just wondering if anyone has any feedback (did they fit true to size? were they comfortable?)

Here is my drama:

I wanted the yellow (marigold) peep toe flats. Ordered them, got an email saying they were discontinued. They asked if I want to order something else or get a refund. They had ivory ones so I got those.

On the website they said that the marigold ones ran big so order a 1/2 size down (though they are only available in "whole sizes"..6,7,8 etc) so I got a 7. When I looked at the ivory ones it said that they ran true to size so I emailed the lady back and said that I'd take the ivory but I need an 8 now.

Just got them this weekend and of course they are the wrong size. They won't exchange them so I need to ship them back and then reorder. I'm really annoyed. That being said they look cute and they seemed comfortable with the exception that my toes hang off them.

Two months ago, I ordered their ballet flats in ivory, size 8.  I received an email saying they were "discontinued", and would I like a different color or refund.  I asked for a refund because I didn't care for the other colors.

I checked their website literally yesterday, and those ivory ballet flats in size 8 were still listed.  If they were truly discontinued, why are they still listed on their website.  Who knows, maybe they restocked them, but I'm kinda irritated that I didn't get the shoes I wanted.

The point of my story is that I never received the shoes to know whether they're nice or not.  I'm most likely ordering from DSW instead, because Dessy's service just seems to lack a bit.  Good luck with your purchase!

I ordered and just received the simple satin ballet flats in concord. I didn't have any issues with shipping, etc. and they arrived within the 7-10 business days. I absolutely love the color and they're exactly what I wanted (I'll be ordering shoe clips from Etsy to add to the shoes to make them even more "me"). The only slight issue I have is that they are a tiny bit tight, but I also have wide feet and I think they'll fit just fine for our wedding when I break them in a little. I ordered the same size I wear in street shoes. Good Luck!

Oh, and they seem pretty comfortable. I pretty much live in ballet flats anyway and it was nice that these had a very tiny heel.

I also order shoes from dessy (3 pairs!) and I got an email saying they were discontinued. They are still listed on the website for sale....hmmmm....
