BM dresses - same dress different colour?

So I'm having a heck of a time making up my mind.  I've chosen a two toned Melissa Sweet dress for the bridesmaids, but I can't decide on the colour.  I'm going for a peacock theme with jewel tones, but I don't want the girls to look like we're headed out for Mardi Gras.

I was thinking of going with 4 different colours: deep purple, royal blue, lime green, and a dark fushia.  The top of the dress is ivory and the waist down is where the colour is.  I'm thinking of going with these colours, otherwise going all dark fushia.

My table linens are lime green and dark blue but not quite navy.  Do you think using 4 colours for the bridesmaids will work or will it look too much like a carnival?

Thanks for your help!

  • Yes, I think that may be a little much. What about going with 2 colors (I am doing this) and incorporating the others in your flowers and possibly their accessories or something?
  • I think it sounds fun! The top being ivory is perfect. I bet that'll class it up and not make it carnival-ish. I agree, I would love to see pictures of the dresses too!
  • I think it would be fun!  I think four random dresses in those colors might be odd, but considering they are the same style and all have ivory at the top, I think they will coordinate quite well.

  • I think the idea sounds great, but the 4 specific colors you mentioned... don't. You'd be better off with 4 different colors within the same color family, or 2 different contrasting colors (two girls in each color)

Oh I'm so torn.  Here is a link to the dress:

The colour swatches that I'm looking at are the 2nd and 3rd in the first row, and the 1st in the second row.  The lime green isn't online, but it's a pretty standard lime green.

Ok ok ok.  So I looked at the colours again, and yes they don't work.  How about these colours:

Cabernet, green tea, peacock and mulberry?
